Specialist durability right-click commands in the Simulation Navigator

Events node commands

Icon Command name Description
Select All Selects all the load events.
Delete All Deletes all the load events that are not used in a specialist durability solution or a duty cycle load event.
Manage Events Opens the Manage Events dialog box that lets you create, edit, or delete load events.
New Event Lets you create new load events of the following types:Block Load EventSuperposition EventTransient EventDuty Cycle EventMotion Flexible Body EventRandom EventHarmonic Event
Information Opens an Information window that displays information on the load events.

A load event node commands

Icon Command name Description
Edit Opens the corresponding load event dialog box that lets you modify the load event.
Clone Creates a copy of the load event.
Rename Lets you change the name of the load event.
Delete Deletes the load event.
Remove Available when you right-click a load event node that is located within a specialist durability solution process node.Removes the load event from the solution process.
New Duty Cycle Opens the Duty Cycle dialog box listing the selected load event, and lets you create a duty cycle load event.
Information Opens an Information window that displays information on the load event.

Random Data Source and Harmonic Data Source node commands

Icon Command name Description
Select All Selects all the random or harmonic data sources.
Delete All Deletes all the random or harmonic data sources.
/ New Random Data Source/New Harmonic Data Source Opens the Random Data Source or Harmonic Data Source dialog box that lets you create a random or harmonic data source.
Information Opens an Information window that displays information on the random or harmonic data sources.

Edit Opens the Random Data Source or Harmonic Data Source dialog box that lets you modify the random or harmonic data source.
Clone Creates a copy of the random or harmonic data source.
Rename Lets you change the name of the random or harmonic data source.
Delete Deletes the random or harmonic data source.
Information Opens an Information window that displays information on the random or harmonic data source.

Vibration/Correlation Inputs node commands

Icon Command name Description
Delete All Deletes all the vibration/correlation inputs.
New Vibration Input/New Correlation Input Opens the Vibration Input/Correlation Input dialog box that lets you define a new vibration input.
Information Opens an Information window that displays information on the vibration/correlation inputs.

A vibration/correlation input node commands

Icon Command name Description
Edit Opens the Vibration Input/Correlation Input dialog box that lets you modify the vibration/correlation input.
Rename Lets you change the name of the vibration/correlation input.Note: The vibration/correlation input names should be unique inside a single data source.
Delete Deletes the vibration/correlation input.Note: Deleting a vibration input deletes any correlation input pointing to that vibration input.
Information Opens an Information window that displays information on the vibration/correlation input.

Strain Gages node commands

Select All Selects all the strain gages.
Delete All Deletes all the strain gages that are not used in a specialist durability function definition.
New Strain Gage Opens the Strain Gage dialog box that lets you create a new strain gage.
Information Opens an Information window that displays information on the strain gages.

Edit Display Opens the Edit Strain Gage Display dialog box that lets you modify the strain gage display parameters.
Rename Lets you change the name of the strain gage.
Delete Deletes the strain gage if it is not used in a specialist durability function definition.
Information Opens an Information window that displays information on the strain gage.

Durability Temperature Sources node commands

Icon Command name Description
Select All Selects all the temperature source loads.
Delete All Deletes all the temperature source loads that are not used in a specialist durability load event.
New Temperature Source Opens the Temperature Source dialog box that lets you create a temperature source load.
Information Opens an Information window that displays information on the temperature sources.

Edit Opens the Temperature Source dialog box that lets you modify the temperature source lad.
Clone Creates a copy of the temperature source load.
Rename Lets you change the name of the temperature source load.
Delete Deletes the temperature source load if it is not used in a specialist durability load event.

A specialist durability solution process node commands

Icon Command name Description
Edit Opens the Specialist Durability Solution dialog box that lets you edit the solution process associated analysis template, specialist durability simulation objects, load event, and material.
Edit Solver Parameters Opens the Solver Parameters dialog box that lets you select and manage solver profiles.
Clone Creates a copy of the solution process.
Rename Lets you change the name of the solution process.
Delete Deletes the solution process.
Event Opens the Manage Events dialog box that lets you create, edit, and select a load event for the solution process.
New Local Definition Opens the Specialist Durability Local Definition dialog box that lets you create a local definition for the solution process.
New Function Definition Opens the Specialist Durability Function Definition dialog box that lets you create a function definition directly under the solution process.
Make Active Activates the solution process.
Make Inactive Deactivates the solution process.
Model Setup Check Checks the solution process setup. If the model check finds any problem, a description of the problem appears in an Information window.
Solve Opens the Solve dialog box that lets you check the solution process setup, edit the solution process attributes, edit solver parameters, and solve the solution process, write the solver input file, or solve the input file.
Browse Opens the directory containing the durability analysis files.
Information Opens an Information window that displays information on the solution process.

Simulation Objects node commands

Icon Command name Description
Add to List Opens the Durability Simulation Objects dialog box that lets you add durability simulation objects, filtered to those specified in the analysis template, to the durability simulation objects list.
Hide Optional Undefined Objects Available if the optional undefined durability simulation object are shown in the list.Hides the optional undefined objects in the durability simulation object list.
Unhide Optional Undefined Objects Available if the optional undefined durability simulation object are hidden in the list.Shows the optional undefined objects in the durability simulation object list.
Information Opens an Information window that displays information on the listed durability simulation objects.

A simulation object node commands

Icon Command name Description
Inspect Opens the corresponding durability simulation object dialog box that lets you inspect the simulation object properties. For more information, see Specialist Durability simulation object dialog boxes.
Choose Simulation Object Opens the Durability Simulation Objects dialog box filtered by the selected object type and lets you select, edit, or create a durability simulation object of that type.
Information Opens an Information window that displays information on the durability simulation object.

A local definition node commands

Icon Command name Description
Edit Opens the Specialist Durability Local Definition dialog box that lets you edit the local definition's associated analysis template, durability simulation objects, location, and material.
Clone Creates a copy of the local definition.
Rename Lets you change the name of the local definition.
Delete Deletes the local definition.
Make Active Activates the local definition.
Make Inactive Deactivates the local definition.
Function Definition Opens the Specialist Durability Function Definition dialog box that lets you create a function definition under the local definition.
Information Opens an Information window that displays information on the local definition.

Evaluate Opens the Evaluate Function dialog box that lets you generate results for the function definition.
Edit Opens the Specialist Durability Function Definition dialog box that lets you edit the function definition's analysis setup including the durability simulation objects and location.
Edit Solver Parameters Opens the Solver Parameters dialog box that lets you select and manage solver profiles.
Clone Creates a copy of the function definition.
Rename Lets you change the name of the function definition.
Delete Deletes the function definition.
Information Opens an Information window that displays information on the function definition.

Post-Processing Scenario Presents the data sources and post-processing scenarios in the Scenario Based Data-Visualization Navigator, that lets you visualize the specialist durability simulation results as a 3D contour plot.
Results Table Opens the Table Result Selection dialog box that lets you generate a summary of the critical results.

/ Seam Weld Set / Spot Weld Set Opens the Seam Weld Set / Spot Weld Set dialog box that lets you create a specialist durability weld set.

Edit Opens the Edit Seam Weld Set / Edit Spot Weld Set dialog box that lets you add or removes durability welds and edit the recovery simulation object.
Clone Creates a copy of the weld set.
/ Add Seam Weld / Add Spot Weld Opens the Durability Seam Weld / Durability Spot Weld dialog box that lets you add welds to the set.
Delete Deletes the durability weld set and moves its durability welds to orphan durability weld set.
Activate All Seam Welds Activates all durability welds in the set.
Deactivate All Seam Welds Deactivates all durability welds in the set.

A durability seam weld node / a durability spot weld node commands

Icon Command name Description
Edit Opens the Edit Seam Weld / Edit Spot Weld dialog box that lets you edit the recovery simulation objects for the durability weld.
Remove Removes the durability weld from the durability weld set, and adds it to the orphan durability weld set.
Delete Available if the durability weld is in an orphan weld set.Deletes the durability weld.
Activate Activates the durability weld.
Deactivate Deactivates the durability weld.

An orphan durability seam weld set / an orphan durability spot weld set node commands

Icon Command name Description
Extract Moves all the durability welds to a new durability weld set.
Delete Seam Welds / Delete Spot Welds Deletes the durability welds.
