Teamcenter Integration for Simulation
Clone overview
Use the Save As command to create a managed copy of your entire model structure in a single operation. You can save the idealized part, FEM, and Simulation to new items, or to new revisions of their existing items.
For each file that you select in the model structure, you must provide the new part name, number, and revision level in the Save Parts As dialog box.
Including the master part
Optionally, you can include the master part when you clone your CAE data using the Save As command. If you include the master part in your selection scope, you can set a consistent revision level for each iteration of your CAE data and establish a clean baseline for further analysis.
Create Clone Assembly
When you clone an assembly and there are related CAE item revisions, you can add those CAE models to the assembly clone operation. To add the CAE models that you want, select the appropriate option for CAE under Related Parts in the Clone Assembly dialog box. The available options are:
Simulations, FEMs, and Idealized Parts
FEMs and Idealized Parts
Idealized Parts
The default setting is None.
In the Simulation Process Management data model, the idealized part file, the FEM file, and the Simulation file are stored as separate item revisions with defined relationships to the master part and to each other. For each master CAD item revision included in the clone, Teamcenter Integration uses the TC_CAE_TARGET relation to identify the related FEM parts and idealized parts. For all of the included FEM item revisions, Teamcenter Integration uses the TC_CAE_DEFINING relation to identify the related Simulation item revisions.
