Copying margin of safety calculations
You can use the Copy command to create copies of a calculation. The copies of a calculation appear in the Simulation Navigator with the other calculations. You can edit copies of a calculation from the Simulation Navigator or the Calculation Manager dialog box. All of the parameters are editable except the method.
The Copy and Propagate commands are similar in that they can both create one or more copies of a calculation. The primary differences between the Copy and Propagate commands are as follows:
The calculations that you create with the Copy and Propagate commands can reference different FE or geometric entities from which they obtain their results. However, with the Propagate command, you cannot directly change the other inputs to the calculations such as the load case set, values for the calculation parameters, and so on. With the Copy command, each copy of the calculation can have a unique load case set, values for the calculation parameters, and so on.Note: To assign a unique load case set, values for the calculation parameters, and so on, to a calculation created with the Propagate command, after it is created, you must edit it.
The Propagate command cannot duplicate a calculation that has multiple sources, even if all of the results for the calculation are extracted from only one of the sources. Thus, to create copies of a calculation that has multiple sources, you must use the Copy command.
For information on editing calculations, see Editing margin of safety calculations.
