Boundary conditions > Structural loads > Nastran, Simcenter 3D Multiphysics, Abaqus, and ANSYS structural loads > Temperature
Define a temperature load
Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Temperature Load .
In the Temperature Load dialog box, select Temperature from the Type list.
In the Model Objects group, click Select Object and select the geometry or FE entity to which the temperature will be applied.
In the Magnitude group, define the temperature magnitude in one of these ways:Select Expression to use a constant value or expression to define the magnitude. For more information, see Expressions. Select Field to define a temperature magnitude that varies with time. From the Specify Field list, choose a method to create the field. For more information, see Using fields and expressions to define boundary conditions. (Optional) Enter a Scale Factor value.
(Optional) In the Distribution group, choose the method for distributing the temperature over the geometry or FE entities:Select Constant to apply the magnitude to each selected item. Select Spatial to a unitless field to map the temperature to the nodes. For more information, see Using fields and expressions to define boundary conditions.
Click OK.The load is applied to the model.
