Default results (Simcenter Samcef)
In the Simcenter Samcef structural and thermal Output Requests modeling objects, Simcenter Samcef default results are selected by default (1). The Simcenter Samcef default results contain several families of Simcenter Samcef codes. For more details on Simcenter Samcef families of codes, see Families of results in structural and thermal output requests (Simcenter Samcef).
The Simcenter Samcef default results enable all the result types (element and element-nodal), they enable all the locations for shells, and they use the whole model (Structure) as support (2).
Simcenter Samcef Default results behavior
You must pay attention to specific behavior when using Simcenter Samcef default results.
If you clear the result check box, you remove the families of Simcenter Samcef codes for all the result types (element and element-nodal), for all the locations on shells, and for the whole model (Structure).This entry is added in the Simcenter Samcef input file:.SAI ARCHIVE STRUCTURE STYP -
where represents the families of Simcenter Samcef codes attached to the result. If you change any option of a Simcenter Samcef Default result, like the Type, the Location or the support (Entity):The default list of codes is first removed for all the result types (element and element-nodal), for all the locations on shells, and for the whole model (Structure). This entry is added in the Simcenter Samcef input file:.SAI ARCHIVE STRUCTURE STYP -
Then, according to the different options selected for the Simcenter Samcef Default result, a new list of codes is output in the Simcenter Samcef input file:.SAI ARCHIVE STRUCTURE/GROUP STYP where represents the new filtered subset of codes of the results.
Example
Let's look at the Stress Tensor of a Linear Static analysis output request. Stress Tensor is a Simcenter Samcef default result.
In the Simcenter Samcef documentation, Stress Tensor is defined as:

Stress Tensor is output as a .SAI ARCHIVE STRUCTURE STYP 1411 3411 1431 3431 1435 3435 1436 3436 entry in the Simcenter Samcef input file.
If you clear this result, a .SAI ARCHIVE STRUCTURE STYP -1411 -3411 -1431 -3431 -1435 -3435 -1436 -3436 entry is added in the Simcenter Samcef input file.
If you select both the Element option of the Type list and the Lower Skin option of the Location list, the following entries are added to the Simcenter Samcef input file:
.SAI ARCHIVE STRUCTURE STYP -1411 -3411 -1431 -3431 -1435 -3435 -1436 -3436, which removes all the default results.
.SAI ARCHIVE STRUCTURE STYP 3411 3436, which only adds the lower skin results.
