Enforced Motion from External File dialog box
| Type | |
|---|---|
| Lists available external file types and motion result types, such as displacement, acceleration, and velocity, that you can apply on structural nodes. | |
| Name | |
| Name | Sets the name of the force node. |
| Description | Sets the description for the force node. |
| Destination Folder | |
| Load Container | Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which the boundary condition will be stored. The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command. Examples of a root container include Load Container, Constraint Container, and Simulation Object Container. |
| Folder Manager | Displays a hierarchical listing of existing folders. To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder. |
| Model Objects | |
| Group Reference | Lets you apply the motion results on the selected structural nodes to a group. For more information, see Group Reference options. |
| Select Object | Lets you select the objects on which the motion results will be applied.ExcludedLets you remove individual entities from within your selected object. |
| Stacked Smart Selector Methods | Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box. |
| Data SourceDisplacements Data SourceAcceleration Data Source****Velocity Data Source | |
| Select File | Click Browse to open the Select File dialog box. Depending on the selected motion result type, select the Simcenter HDF5 Data File or Nastran OP2 file that contains the motion results. |
| Degrees of Freedom | Appears for all data source groups except for the Data Source group.Specifies whether to extract Translation, Rotation, or Translation and Rotation types of degrees of freedom from the external file. |
| Subcase | Specifies the subcase option. From Solution StepSelect this option when external file contains a single subcase.Specify****Select this option when the external file contains multiple subcases. You can enter the subcase ID in the Subcase ID field to consider that specific motion loading condition in the analysis. |
| Subcase ID | Appears when Subcase is set to Specify.Lets you enter the specific loading condition subcase ID in the subcase ID field. |
| Displacements Data Set | Appears when Type is set to Displacement from SC_HF5 File and Degrees of Freedom is set to Translation or Translation and Rotation.Lets you enter the name of the displacements data set. If you are not sure of the name, click Infer Data Set to infer the data set name from the file and populate the Displacements Data Set box. |
| Rotations Data Set | Appears when Type is set to Displacement from SC_HF5 File and Degrees of Freedom is set to Rotation or Translation and Rotation.Lets you enter the name of the rotations data set. If you are not sure of the name, click Infer Data Set to infer the data set name from the file and populate the Rotations Data Set box. |
| Accelerations Data Set | Appears when Type is set to Acceleration from SC_HF5 File and Degrees of Freedom is set to Translation or Translation and Rotation.Lets you enter the name of the accelerations data set. If you are not sure of the name, click Infer Data Set to infer the data set name from the file and populate the Accelerations Data Set box. |
| Angular Accelerations Data Set | Appears when Type is set to Acceleration from SC_HF5 File and Degrees of Freedom is set to Rotation or Translation and Rotation.Lets you enter the name of the angular accelerations data set. If you are not sure of the name, click Infer Data Set to infer the data set name from the file and populate the Angular Accelerations Data Set box. |
| Velocities Data Set | Appears when Type is set to Velocity from SC_HF5 File and Degrees of Freedom is set to Translation or Translation and Rotation.Lets you enter the name of the velocities data set. If you are not sure of the name, click Infer Data Set to infer the data set name from the file and populate the Velocities Data Set box. |
| Angular Velocities Data Set | Appears when Type is set to Velocity from SC_HF5 File and Degrees of Freedom is set to Rotation or Translation and Rotation.Lets you enter the name of the angular velocities data set. If you are not sure of the name, click Infer Data Set to infer the data set name from the file and populate the Angular Velocities Data Set box. |
| Infer Data Set | Appears for all external file types except for Displacement from OP2 File.Infers the data set name from the file and populates the data set name box with it. |
| Export | |
| Export Companion Constraints (SPC1) | Controls the export of the companion constraints. When the Export Companion Constraints (SPC1) check box is selected, the software creates companion SPC1 bulk entries for each SPCF bulk entry. When the Export Companion Constraints (SPC1) check box is cleared, the software does not create companion SPC1 bulk entries. You can use this option with Simcenter Nastran dynamic solutions that have different enforced motion loads in each subcase and the direction of these loads changes from one subcase to the next. Because you cannot change the constraints from one subcase to the next in SOLs 108, 109, 111, and 112, you would not want the software to export a companion constraint to each subcase. Instead, you can define the companion constraints globally (for all subcases), for example, by using the User Defined Constraint command. |
