Response Dynamics > Response results > Peak results
Evaluate Peak Value, Level Crossing Rate, or RMS results
In the Simulation Navigator, right-click your Event node and choose Evaluate Contour Results→Peak, LCR, or RMS.
In the evaluation dialog box, under Result, choose the type of result to evaluate. Note: The result types available depend on the output requests you enabled in the Structural Output Request for the solution. For more information, see Define Response Dynamics result types.
If you are evaluating displacement, acceleration, or reaction force, select one or more nodes on the model to specify the location of the evaluation. For all other result types, select one or more elements on the model.
(Optional) Under Observation Node, select Relative to if you want to evaluate the response relative to a node you select. Otherwise, the evaluation will be relative to the part's origin. After you evaluate peak response results of displacement, velocity, and acceleration, and when you use an observation node, the observation node is listed in the Information window when you request information on the response results.
If you selected Stress or Shell Resultant as the Result Type, select a Coordinate System (under Response Request) in which to report the evaluation results. Note: Depending on the coordinate system used in the modal solution, the results may not be displayed in the coordinate system you select here. For more information, see Response function coordinate systems.
Under Response Request, select the check boxes for each direction in which you want to view the evaluation. The data components that appear depend on the Result Type. For more information about these data components, see Vector and tensor components and invariants.
For a level-crossing evaluation, in the Crossing Level box, type the threshold over which to measure the rate the results cross it.
(Optional) Under Preview, choose the options for the preview evaluation.
Click to preview the results. Select the viewport in which to preview the results.
In the evaluation dialog box, click OK to generate the results.
View the results in the Post Processing Navigator, under the Event node.
