Contact and glue specific results (Simcenter Samcef)

In Simcenter Samcef structural analyses, you can use the Results for Macro Element (Contact) and Results for Macro Element (Gluing - STICK) modeling objects to request the computation of specific results for contact and glue conditions.

In thermal analyses, you can use the Results for Macro Element (Surface-to-Surface Thermal Conductance) modeling object to request the computation of specific results for the Surface-to-Surface thermal contact.

In the Results for Macro Element (Contact) modeling object, you can request the following results:

Group Results
Transfer Results Total Forces (.SAI ARCHIVE 9524 COMP 1 2 3).Total Moments (.SAI ARCHIVE 9525 COMP 1 2 3).Dissipated Energy (.SAI ARCHIVE COMP 4).Dissipated Power (.SAI ARCHIVE COMP 5).

For more information, see the structural MACRO element in the Simcenter Samcef solver documentation.

In the Results for Macro Element (Gluing - STICK) modeling object, you can request the following results:

Group Results
Transfer Results Total Forces (.SAI ARCHIVE 9524 COMP 1 2 3).Total Moments (.SAI ARCHIVE 9525 COMP 1 2 3).

For more information, see the structural MACRO element in the Simcenter Samcef solver documentation.

In the Results for Macro Element (Surface-to-Surface Thermal Conductance) modeling object, you can request the following results:

Group Results
Transfer Results Conduction Power (.SAI ARCHIVE COMP 5).Resultant radiation power (.SAI ARCHIVE COMP 8).Enabled by default: Total resultant power (.SAI ARCHIVE COMP 14).
Average Results Average Temperature (Surface Weighting) of the Slave Node Side (.SAI ARCHIVE COMP 30).Average Temperature (Surface Weighting) of the Master Node Side (.SAI ARCHIVE COMP 31).

For more information, see the thermal MACRO element in the Simcenter Samcef solver documentation.

Where do I find it?

For the Results for Macro Element (Contact) and Results for Macro Element (Gluing - STICK) modeling objects:

Application Pre/Post
Prerequisite A Simulation file as the work part and displayed partSimcenter Samcef as the specified solver Structural as the analysis type
Command Finder Modeling Objects
Location in dialog box Type list→Results for Macro Element (Contact) or Results for Macro Element (Gluing - STICK)

For the Results for Macro Element (Surface-to-Surface Thermal Conductance) modeling object:

Application Pre/Post
Prerequisite A Simulation file as the work part and displayed partSimcenter Samcef as the specified solver Thermal as the specified analysis type
Command Finder Modeling Objects
Location in dialog box Type list→Results for Macro Element (Surface-to-Surface Thermal Conductance)
