Darea Acoustic Source dialog box (Legacy)

Note:

Darea Acoustic Source is a retired command that works only in models created prior to Simcenter 3D 2019.1. You can edit or delete existing acoustic sources created by this command. The Darea Acoustic Source command is superseded by the Acoustic Monopole command. For more information, see Acoustic Monopole dialog box (Simcenter Nastran).

Name
Name	Specifies the name of the acoustic source.
Description
Description	Lets you enter a description for the acoustic source.
Destination Folder
Load Container	Lets you specify under which folder in the Simulation Navigator the new acoustic source will be created. The default folder is Root.
Folder Manager	Displays a hierarchical listing of existing folders.To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder.
Model Objects
Group Reference	Lets you select groups of fluid mesh nodes.Select the group from the list, or click New Group .See Create a group by manually selecting the contents.
Select Object	Lets you select the geometry or FE entities to create the acoustic source load.Excluded lets you remove individual entities from within the selected object.
Values
DOF1	Lets you enter 0 to disable the acoustic source, or enter 1 to enable the acoustic source.
Unique DOF Values	Lets you enable or disable the associated acoustic source load independently. Select the Unique DOF Values check box and click Nodes to apply the load to specific nodes.For each node:Set DOF1 to 1 to apply the load to the node.Set DOF1 to 0 if you do not want to apply the load to the node.

These options are available when the Group Reference is selected.
Find	Let you search for an object by entering the full name of the object.For example, to find a group named ABC_group, you must type ABC_group into the search box.After typing the name, press Enter or click Find . If the object is found, it will be selected automatically.
Filter by Name****Filter by Label	Lets you filter the list by the names or labels of the objects. This filter supports wildcards. The default wildcard of * displays all entries in the list. For example, to filter the list to display every object with a name starting with the letter "a", enter a* as the filter string.
Find	Starts the find or filter operation.
