Acoustic and vibro-acoustic time-pressure function results
With a Simcenter Nastran acoustic or vibro-acoustic analysis, you can plot acoustic pressure results as time-pressure function results in an XY graph. You can then listen to the sound of acoustic pressure on a microphone mesh in Simcenter 3D and export the audio to an audio file.
Plotting time-pressure function results
When you plot acoustic pressure SORT2 function results, you can use the Build IFFT formula option in the Curve Operations dialog box to apply an Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT) function to a pair of frequency-pressure records. This option converts the frequency-domain function into a time-domain function, which you can plot.
For more information, see Plotting time-domain function data.
Playing and exporting audio
When you plot a time-pressure function, you can:
Use the Play Audio command to play back the sound of acoustic pressure on a microphone mesh and judge the quality of the sound.
Use the Export command to export the audio to an audio file in a *.wav format.
Note:
To listen to and export the audio of a time-pressure function plot, the function must be even.
For more information, see Playing and exporting audio of time-pressure function plots.
