Nodal Capacity dialog box (Simcenter Samcef Thermal)

Name
Name Sets the name of the nodal capacity that appears in the Simulation Navigator under the Simulation Objects Container node.
Description Sets the description.
Destination Folder
Simulation Objects Container Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which the nodal capacity will be stored. The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command.
Support
Group Reference Lets you use a group. For more information, see Group Reference options.
Select Object Lets you select FEM entities.
Stacked Smart Selector Methods Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters.For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box.
Volume or Mass
Volume or Mass Lets you choose between the definition of a Volume or a Mass for the nodal capacity.For more information, see the VOLU parameter of the Samcef CAPA element.
Volume
Appears when Volume or Mass is set to Volume.
Volume Sets the volume of the nodal capacity.
Mass
Appears when Volume or Mass is set to Mass.
Mass Sets the mass of the nodal capacity.
Material
Material (MAT) Lets you attach a material to the nodal capacity.For more information, see the MAT parameter of the Samcef CAPA element.
Boundary Condition: Heat Flux
Surface Flux (SFLU) Sets the surface value onto which you apply the heat flux.For more information, see the SFLU parameter of the Samcef CAPA element.
Heat Flux Sets the heat flux value.For more information, see the FLUX parameter of the Samcef .CLT element.
Boundary Condition: Convection
Surface Convection (SCON) Sets the surface value onto which you apply a convection.For more information, see the SCON parameter of the Samcef CAPA element.
Fluid Temperature Sets the fluid temperature value.For more information, see the TFC parameter of the Samcef .CLT command.
Convection Coefficient Sets the coefficient of the convection law.For more information, see the CONV parameter of the Samcef .CLT command.
Exponent Sets the exponent of the convection law.For more information, see the EXP parameter of the Samcef .CLT command.
Boundary Condition: Radiation
Surface Radiation (SRAD) Sets the surface value onto which you apply a radiation.For more information, see the SRAD parameter of the Samcef CAPA element.
Ambient Temperature (TFR) Sets the ambient temperature.For more information, see the TFR parameter of the Samcef .CLT command.
Surface Emissivity (EMI) Sets the emissivity.For more information, see the EMI parameter of the Samcef .CLT command.
