Nastran environment > Nastran rotor dynamic analysis (SOL 414)
Define nonlinear transient parameters
Choose Home tab→Properties group→Modeling Objects .
In the Modeling Objects Manager dialog box, from the Type list, select Nonlinear Control Parameters - Subcase and click Create.
In the Nonlinear Control Parameters - Subcase dialog box, on the Automatic Time Stepping page, specify the desired options to control time stepping. As a best practice, use automatic time stepping (AUTIM) and define the maximum time step (DTMAX) to be approximately 0.05 times the rotor speed of interest in Hz.
Click OK.
In the Modeling Objects Manager dialog box, click Close.
