Result Measure dialog box

Solution
Solution Lets you select the solved solution from which to extract the results.
Input
Load Case Lets you select the subcase from which to extract the result value. If the solution contains multiple subcases, and you select All Subcases, the expression extracts the result value from across all subcases. The result value extracted will be the minimum, maximum, or mean average depending on the Operation setting.
Result Type Specifies the result type to extract. The result types that are available depend on the results that were solved for this solution. For example, Temperature – Nodal results are available for a solved thermal solution.
Component Lets you select the results component. For more information about components, see Vector and tensor components and invariants.
Shell Section Available for stress or strain results on 2D elements.Specifies the layer or layers from which the software returns the result. For more information, see Shell locations.
Beam Section Available when the model includes element-nodal stress or strain results on 1D beam elements.Specifies the stress recovery point from which to return results. You can instead select the Minimum or Maximum value for all stress recovery points. If you calculate beam stresses from element forces, the Minimum and Maximum options return the minimum and maximum stresses for the complete section, regardless of recovery points.
Calculate Beam Results Available when the model includes element-nodal stress or strain results on 1D beam elements, and when the solution output request includes element force output.Calculates beam stresses and strains from element forces and beam geometry. Note: When you select this option, the software queries the results file for material properties and section definitions. If that information is not available in the results file, the software queries the CAE model for that information. If the Simulation file is not loaded, you may not be able to generate beam results for nonstandard sections. For more information, see Beam stresses.
Add Fillets Available when the model includes element-nodal stress or strain results on 1D beam elements, and when the solution output request includes element force output.Modifies beam section geometry to add fillets to interior corners. The fillet radius is determined by multiplying the Fillet Radius Scale Factor by the beam section wall thickness; the scale factor must be a value between 0 and 1.
Coordinate System Specifies the coordinate system used to determine the magnitude and direction of vector and tensor data components. Absolute Rectangular, Absolute Cylindrical, Absolute Spherical — Determines values with respect to the absolute coordinate system origin.Work Rectangular, Work Cylindrical, Work Spherical — Determines values with respect to the WCS origin.Native — The native coordinate system is the untransformed coordinate system in which results are written to the solver output file. Typically, this is the element coordinate system, but may be some other coordinate system based on the solver, analysis type, or element formulation.Material — If any meshes or elements in your model have a defined material orientation (as for orthotropic or anisotropic materials or composite laminates), you can view tensor component results in the material coordinate system.
Units Specifies the units in which to extract the results.
Absolute Value For results that have both positive and negative values, specifies that the absolute value of results should be used when calculating maximum or minimum values.
Operation
Operator Specifies the operator on the result that determines the value to extract for the selected result type and component. The software sorts all selected components, and returns the minimum, maximum, or mean average of the values at each node or element.
Model Subset Selection
List Lets you extract the results for the entire model, or select a subset of entities.Entire Model — Extracts the results over the entire model.Geometry — Lets you select solid bodies, faces, edges, curves or points. Finite Element — Lets you select elements and nodes from a mesh.
Name
Expression Name Sets the name to use for the expression that the result measure creates.
Checking
Requirement Specifies a requirement with which to associate the measure expression. NoneNo requirement checks are associated with the measurement.NewLets you create a new requirement check associated with the measurement.ExistingLets you select an existing requirement as a check for the measurement. For more information, see the Systems Driven Product Development section of the Active Workspace online help.
