Flexible Body Export Options dialog box
| Modeling Object | |
|---|---|
| Name | Specifies the name of the flexible body option object. |
| Label | Specifies the label for the flexible body option object. |
| Properties | |
| File Format | Specifies the output file type that the software generates for the flexible body.RECURDYN — .rfiADAMS — .mnfOP4 — .op4MATLAB — MATLAB script fileSimcenter 3D Motion — .op2 |
| Equation Type | Appears only when File Format is set to RECURDYN, ADAMS, OP4, or MATLAB.Specifies how the equations are used. STANDARD — The matrices are based on standard second order differential equations of motion. STATESPACE — The matrices are based on first-order differential equations that represent the equations of motion, and are suitable for use with control system software.Available when File Format is set to OP4 or MATLAB. |
| Recovery | Appears only when File Format is set to RECURDYN, ADAMS, OP4, or MATLAB.Specifies whether data recovery runs after the creation of the output file.YES — The software creates the output file and runs data recovery.NO — The software only creates the output file. |
| Mass Invariant | Appears only when File Format is set to RECURDYN or ADAMS.Specifies how the software computes the mass invariants.PARTIAL — For RecurDyn, does not compute mass invariants 6 or 8. For Adams, does not compute mass invariants 5 or 9.CONSTANT — For RecurDyn, computes mass invariants 1, 2, 3, and 9. For Adams, computes mass invariants 1, 2, 6, and 7.FULL — Computes all mass invariants.NONE — Does not compute any mass invariants. |
| Element Geometry | Appears only when File Format is set to RECURDYN or ADAMS.Specifies a set of elements whose connectivity is exported to the output file. All Elements (NONE) — The software does not use the connectivity of specific sets; it writes all grids, geometry, and associated modal data to the output file. All Element Sets (ALL) — The software uses the connectivity of all element sets to export face geometry.Group — Allows you to select a specific element set whose connectivity is used to export face geometry. |
| Group | Appears only when Element Geometry is set to Group.Select the element set whose connectivity you want to use to export face geometry. |
| New group | Appears only when Element Geometry is set to Group.Lets you create a new group. For information on groups, see Groups. |
| More options | Appears only when Element Geometry is set to Group.Lets you search and filter on the list of groups. |
| Options | |
| Appears only when Element Geometry is set to Group and you click More Options . | |
| Find | Lets you search for a group by typing a group name and clicking Find . The results appear in the group table below. |
| Filter by Name | Filters the list of group names.Type an asterisk (*) and press Enter to match all names. |
| Group table | Lets you select a group from a list. |
