| Modeling Object | |
|---|---|
| Name | Sets the name of the modeling object. |
| Label | Sets a unique numerical identifier for the modeling object. |
| Properties | |
| Microphone Results tab | |
| Pressure | Specifies how you want to request acoustic pressure output at microphone nodes. All Microphone NodesSelects all nodes from the microphone mesh.Selected Microphone NodesLets you select the nodes from the microphone mesh. |
| Group Reference | Appears when you set Pressure to Selected Microphone Nodes.Lets you search for an existing microphone node group by name or label, or lets you create a new one. For more information, see Group Reference options. |
| Select Microphone Nodes | Appears when you set Pressure to Selected Microphone Nodes.Lets you select the nodes from the microphone mesh.ExcludedLets you remove individual entities from within the selected object. |
| Stacked Smart Selector Methods | Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box. |
| Ray Paths | |
| Store Ray Paths | Lets you store ray paths that you can then post-process with the Ray Path Analysis post-processing scenario. |
| Echograms | |
| Store Echograms | Lets you store echograms that you can then post-process with the Ray Path Analysis post-processing scenario. |
| Group Reference | Appears when Store Echograms check box is selected.Lets you search for an existing microphone node group by name or label, or lets you create a new one. For more information, see Group Reference options. |
| Select Microphone Nodes | Appears when Store Echograms check box is selected.Lets you select the nodes from the microphone mesh.ExcludedLets you remove individual entities from within the selected object. |
| Stacked Smart Selector Methods | Appears when Store Echograms check box is selected.Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box. |
| Binaural Results | |
| Store Binaural Impulse Responses | Lets you store binaural impulse responses that you can then post-process with a Contour Plots or Function Plots post-processing scenario. |
| Binaural Impulse Response Output Request Selection | Appears when Store Binaural Impulse Responses check box is selected.Opens the Modeling Objects Manager dialog box where you can specify a Binaural Impulse Response Output Request. |
| Quality Criteria | |
| Lets you request sound quality criteria. The software computes these requests in a particle tracing computation. You can then post-process the computed quantities with a pre-configured post-processing scenario.Note: To enable particle tracing, you must do both:Select the Enable Particle Tracing check box is selected in the Particle Tracing group of the active Solution or Solution Step dialog box.Define the particle tracing parameters. | |
| Reverberation Time (RT10) | Requests reverberation time at -60dB estimated between -5dB and -15dB (10dB difference). |
| Reverberation Time (RT20) | Requests reverberation time at -60dB estimated between -5dB and -25dB (20dB difference). |
| Reverberation Time (RT30) | Requests reverberation time at -60dB estimated between -5dB and -35dB (30dB difference). |
| Reverberation Time (RT60) | Requests reverberation time at -60dB estimated between -5dB and -65dB (60dB difference). |
| Clarity (C80) | Requests clarity in dB. Clarity is defined as the logarithmic ratio\frac{{{\rm{early}},{\rm{sound}},{\rm{energy}},{\rm{arriving}},{\rm{in}},{\rm{the}},{\rm{first}},{\rm{80ms}}}}{{{\rm{late}},{\rm{sound}},{\rm{energy}},{\rm{arriving}},{\rm{after}},{\rm{80ms}}}} |
| Direct Arrival Time (T0) | Requests direct arrival time. |
| Definition (D50) | Requests the unitless definition. Definition is defined as the ratio\frac{{{\rm{early}},{\rm{received}},{\rm{sound}},{\rm{energy}},{\rm{(0-50ms}},{\rm{after}},{\rm{direct}},{\rm{sound}},{\rm{arrival)}}}}{{{\rm{total}},{\rm{received}},{\rm{sound}},{\rm{energy}}}}The value of the definition will be between 0 and 100. |
| Early Decay Time (EDT) | Requests reverberation time at -60dB estimated between 0dB and -10dB. |
| Speech Transmission Index - Male (STI - Male) | Requests STI index for seven octave bands for an adult male human being. The index lets you know how much a transmission path influences the speech intelligibility. The index is non-dimensional and ranges from 0 to1, where 0 stands for the lowest and 1 the highest intelligibility rating. |
| Speech Transmission Index - Female (STI - Female) | Requests STI index for seven octave bands for an adult female human being. The index lets you know how much a transmission path influences the speech intelligibility. The index is non-dimensional and ranges from 0 to1, where 0 stands for the lowest and 1 the highest intelligibility rating. |
| Rapid Speech Transmission Index (RASTI) | Requests STI index for only two octave bands. Thus, the index lets you quickly know how much a transmission path influences the speech intelligibility. The index is non-dimensional and ranges from 0 to1, where 0 stands for the lowest and 1 the highest intelligibility rating. |
| Interaural Cross Correlation (IACC) | Requests the IACC, which is a measure of the difference in signals received by left and right ears of a human being. It computes a cross-correlation value between two time signals. IACC ranges between -1 and 1, where:-1 indicates identical, out-of-phase signals.1 indicates identical, in-phase signals.0 indicates non-correlating signals. |
