Rotor Dynamic Solution Options dialog box (Simcenter Nastran)

Modeling Object
Name Defines the name of the modeling object.
Label Specifies a unique numerical identifier for the modeling object.
Properties
Description Lets you enter a description for the rotor dynamics solution options.
Starting Speed (RSTART) Specifies the starting speed of the reference rotor speed.
Step Size (RSTEP) Specifies the step size of the reference rotor speed.
Number of Steps (NUMSTEP) Specifies the number of steps for reference rotor speed including RSTART.
Reference System (REFSYS) Specifies the type of reference system for the analysis. If FIX, analysis is performed in the fixed reference system. If ROT, analysis is performed in the rotational reference system.
Steiner’s Inertia Terms (ZSTEIN) Appears when FIX is selected as the reference system for the analysis. If YES, include Steiner’s inertia terms in the analysis. If NO, do not include Steiner’s inertia terms in the analysis.
Complex Mode Output (CMOUT) Specifies the rotor speed to output complex modes. If All Rotational Speeds, complex modes are output for all rotor speeds. If No Output, complex modes are not output. If Specify, complex modes are output at a specific rotor speed entered in the Speed for Complex Mode Output (CMOUT) box.
Speed for Complex Mode Output (CMOUT) Appears when Specify is selected for complex mode output.
Reference and Output Units (RUNIT) Specifies the units used for reference rotor speed input (RSTART and RSTEP) and output (units for output list and Campbell diagram output).
Frequency Output Units (FUNIT) Specifies units used for frequency output (Campbell diagram output).
Whirl Direction Threshold (ORBEPS) Specifies the threshold value for the detection of whirl direction.
.f06 Output (ROTPRT) Controls output written to the .f06 file.If None, no output is written to the .f06 file.If Generalized Matrices, generalized matrices are written to the .f06 file.If Eigenvalue Summary and Eigenvectors, eigenvalues and eigenvectors are written to the .f06 file.If Generalized Matrices, Eigenvalue Summary and Eigenvectors, generalized matrices, eigenvalues, and eigenvectors are written to the .f06 file.
Analysis Type (SYNC) Specifies whether synchronous or asynchronous analysis is used for frequency response analysis. If Asynchronous, asynchronous analysis is used.If Synchronous, synchronous analysis is used.
Excitation Type (ETYPE) Specifies the excitation type for frequency and transient response analysis. If Force Excitation, dynamic load input is interpreted as force. If Mass Unbalanced, dynamic load input is interpreted as mass imbalance. Simcenter Nastran multiplies the mass imbalance by the square of the angular speed during the analysis.
Excitation Order (EORDER) Specifies the excitation order for frequency and transient response analysis. If Rotating-Forward Whirl, excite forward whirl in the rotating system. If Fixed, excite either forward or backward whirl in the fixed system. If Rotating-Backward Whirl, excite backward whirl in the rotating system.
