Solution Step dialog box (Abaqus), Data Line page

Properties (for General and Static Perturbation steps)
Initial Time Increment Specifies the initial time increment for the step.
Time Period Specifies the time period for the step.
Maximum Time Increment/Minimum Time Increment Specifies the minimum and maximum time increment allowed.
Properties (Available only if you select RIKS from the Unstable Problem Method list on the General tab of options.)
Initial Arc-Length Increment Lets you specify the initial increment in arc length along the static equilibrium path in scaled load-displacement space, Δlin.
Total Arc Length Lets you specify the total arc length scale factor associated with this step, lperiod.
Minimum Arc-Length Increment/Maximum Arc-Length Increment Lets you specify the minimum arc length increment, Δlmin.
Maximum Load Proportionality Factor Lets you specify the maximum arc length increment, Δlmax.
Node Label to Monitor Lets you select a Node Selection modeling object to control the number of the node at which you want Abaqus to monitor the finishing displacement value.Select an existing modeling object from the list or click Create Modeling Object to create a new one.Click Edit to edit the selected modeling object.For more information, see Node Selection dialog box (Abaqus).
DOF to Monitor Lets you specify the degree-of-freedom to monitor.
Total Displacement/Rotation Allowed Lets you specify the value of the total displacement or rotation at the node and degree-of-freedom that, if crossed during an increment, ends the step at the current increment.
