Temperatures and degree of cure used in curing thermoset materials (Simcenter Samcef)
Many properties of the Simcenter Samcef thermal and structural Curing materials may depend on three important thermal data:
Classic Temperature.
Glass Transition Temperature.
Degree of Cure.
You can define these data in three different ways:
You can explicitly define them in the Loads section of your Structural model.
You can inherit them by chaining a Thermal analysis with your Structural analysis. The thermal data is fetched directly from the Thermal analysis results.Note: In this case, both the thermal and structural meshes must be identical.For more information on chaining solutions in Simcenter Samcef, see Chaining solutions (Simcenter Samcef).
You can retrieve them by mapping a Thermal analysis onto your Structural model.Note: In this case, the thermal and structural meshes may be dissimilar.For more information on chaining solutions in Simcenter Samcef, see Mapping solutions (Simcenter Samcef).
