Exporting Nastran data
You can use options in the Export Simulation dialog box to control how the software writes out the Nastran .dat file from your data.
Specifying Round Trip Parameters
The term round trip refers to the process of data conversion that occurs when you import a solver data file and then export the same file. The software contains commands and options that you can use to help preserve the order and format of the bulk data entries in your Nastran files during the round-trip process.
You can use the Round Trip Parameters option to specify the Round Trip Parameters modeling object that is associated with the solution. See Preserving the order and format of bulk data through the round-trip process for more information.
Exporting selected data
You can use both the Subset Export and the Output Options to control the precise data that the software writes out to the Nastran .dat file.
Use the Subset Export option to control whether you export your entire model, or just portions of it. For example, you can select the Selected groups option to export only the contents of specific groups.
Use the Output Options to control which sections of the Nastran input file to export. If you select the Bulk Data Section option, you can further control which types of bulk data entries, such as loads or coordinate systems, are included in the exported file.
