Define an enforced displacement constraint normal to the model
The Face Normal type lets you define an enforced displacement constraint with a magnitude and a +/– direction normal to the selected geometry or element faces.
Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Enforced Displacement Constraint .
In the Enforced Displacement Constraint dialog box, select Face Normal from the Type list.
In the Model Objects group, click Select Object and select the geometry or FE entity to which the enforced displacement constraint will be applied.
In the Magnitude group, define the enforced displacement constraint magnitude as a constant value, expression, or field. For more information on expressions, see Expressions. For more information on fields, see Using fields and expressions to define boundary conditions.
Click OK.The constraint is applied to the model.
