2g. Define the checker boarding control.

  1. In the Checker Board Radius box, type the length of a radius around the centroid of an element. This radius should be not much more than twice the length of a typical element's edge. The material density values for all of the elements that exist in their entirety within this radius are averaged, and the average value is applied to all of the elements. If you do not specify a radius, the averaging occurs among all adjacent elements.

  2. Click OK.

How do I
  1. Select the manufacturing constraint type.

2a. Define the planar symmetry.

2b. Define the cyclic symmetry.

2c. Define the maximum member size.

2d. Define the minimum member size.

2e. Define the casting die direction.

2f. Define the extrusion direction.

2h. Define the additive manufacturing overhang angle.
