Align the reference model with the work model

This example shows how to align the test reference model with the work model using the Alignment command.

The Simulation file must contain an analysis work solution and a representative test reference solution.

In the Simulation Navigator, right-click Test Model node and select Alignment.

Set the following:

  • Alignment Method = Move

  • Reference = Angle

  • Angle = 90

  • Specify Vector = XC

  • Click Specify Axis Point

In the Point dialog box, click OK.

In the Test Model Alignment dialog box, click Align.

Set the following:

  • Alignment Method = Node pairing

  • Select the Preview check box.

Select the test model node.

Select the work model node.

Click Add Node Pair.

Repeat steps 5 through 7 for pairs nodes: [3, 4] and [5,6].

Click OK.
