Solution dialog box (Ray Acoustics)

Solution
Name Specifies the name of the solution.
Solver Specifies the solver for the solution.
Analysis Type Specifies the analysis type. The solution uses the Acoustic type that lets you create acoustic fluid that can be present on both sides of the 2D element mesh. The analysis can handle interior and exterior radiation simultaneously.Note: The software supports only the Acoustic type.
Solution Type Specifies the solution type.Acoustic ResponseComputes acoustic responses of a model at microphone nodes.
Automatically Create Step or Subcase Appears when you click Create SolutionCreates a step or subcase automatically.
Frequency Definition
Appears when you click Create Solution.
Forcing Frequencies Specifies the forcing frequencies.Select existing forcing frequencies from the list or click Create Modeling Object to create new forcing frequencies.Click Edit to edit the selected forcing frequencies. For more information, see Define forcing frequencies (Acoustics BEM).
Physical Solver Parameters
Appears when you click Create Solution.
Physical Solver Parameters Specifies the physical solver parameters for the solution.Select existing physical solver modeling parameters from the list or click Create Modeling Object to create new physical solver modeling parameters.Click Edit to edit the selected physical solver modeling parameters. For more information, see Physical Solver Parameters dialog box.
Particle tracing
Appears when you click Create Solution.
Enable Particle Tracing Activates a particle tracing solution and the hybridization of results.
Particle Solver Parameters Appears when Enable Particle Tracing is selected.Specifies the particle solver parameters for the solution.Select existing particle solver modeling parameters from the list or click Create Modeling Object to create new physical solver modeling parameters.Click Edit to edit the selected physical solver modeling parameters.
Wide Bands Appears when Enable Particle Tracing is selected.Specifies the bands for calculating and outputting particle tracing results.Select existing particle solver modeling parameters from the list or click Create Modeling Object to create new physical solver modeling parameters.Click Edit to edit the selected physical solver modeling parameters.
Time Sampling Appears when Enable Particle Tracing is selected.Specifies the time sampling for the integration of the particle trajectory.Select existing particle solver modeling parameters from the list or click Create Modeling Object to create new physical solver modeling parameters.Click Edit to edit the selected physical solver modeling parameters.
Output Requests
Appears when you click Create Solution.
Output Requests Specifies the output request for the solution.Select an existing output request from the list or click Create Modeling Object to create a new output request.Click Edit to edit the selected output request. For more information, see Output Requests dialog box.
Time Domain Conversion
Appears when you click Create Solution.
Convert Results to Time Domain Requests calculation of time domain results by applying an inverse Fourier transformation to frequency domain results.
Job Control
Appears when you click Create Solution.
Run Job in Foreground Lets you control whether the solution runs in the foreground or background. You can:Select the Run Job in Foreground check box to run the solution in the foreground so the software is unavailable during the solve. Clear the Run Job in Foreground check box to run the solution in the background so you can use this software while the solve is running. You can even close the software.
