Enforced Motion Load dialog box

Type
Type Specifies how the enforced motion load is defined.ComponentsLets you define a load by specifying a magnitude for the individual degrees of freedom. Components ZX or Components XY limit the DOF to those available for axisymmetric, plane stress, or plane strain elements on the axisymmetric ZX or XY plane.Magnitude and directionLets you define the load by specifying the magnitude of the displacement in a single direction.NormalLets you define the load by specifying a displacement magnitude and a +/– direction that is normal to the selected geometry or element faces.
Destination Folder
Load Container Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which the boundary condition will be stored. The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command. Examples of a root container include Load Container, Constraint Container, and Simulation Object Container.
Folder Manager Displays a hierarchical listing of existing folders. To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder.
Model Objects
Group Reference Lets you apply the constraint to a group. For more information, see Group Reference options.
Select Object Lets you select the objects on which the constraint will be applied. ExcludedLets you remove individual entities from within your selected object.
Stacked Smart Selector Methods Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box.
Magnitude
Displacement Available when Type is set to Magnitude and direction or Normal.Lets you define the magnitude of the enforced motion. If the enforced motion load is placed in an Enforced Acceleration type of Transient Excitation Load Set or Frequency Excitation Load Set, the enforced motion is calculated as an acceleration. If the enforced motion load is placed in an Enforced Velocity type of Transient Excitation Load Set or Frequency Excitation Load Set, the enforced motion is calculated as a velocity.Otherwise, the enforced motion is calculated as a displacement.
Direction
Displacement CSYS Appears when Type is set to Component or Translational components – field. Sets the coordinate system that the software uses to apply the constraint. You can select the Global Cyclic Analysis or the Existing coordinate system currently defined for the selected nodes or geometry, or you can create one of the following types of local coordinate systems: Cartesian, Cylindrical, Spherical.Note: The Global Cyclic Analysis coordinate system is available only if it is defined in the FEM.
Unique DOF Values Available when Type is set to Components.Lets you enter the value of each DOF, for each independent node.
Degrees of freedom
Edit Per Node Nodes opens the Edit By Node dialog box. In this dialog box, you can enter the value for each DOF, for each independent node.
DOF1 through DOF6 Available when Type is set to Components.Defines the magnitude of the enforced motion for each of the DOF.
Export
Export Companion Constraints (SPC1) Controls the export of the companion constraints. When the Export Companion Constraints (SPC1) check box is selected, the software creates companion SPC1 bulk data entries for each SPCD bulk data entry. When the Export Companion Constraints (SPC1) check box is cleared, the software does not create companion SPC1 bulk data entries. You can use this option with Simcenter Nastran dynamic solutions that have different enforced motion loads in each subcase and the direction of these loads changes from one subcase to the next. Because you cannot change the constraints from one subcase to the next in SOLs 108, 109, 111, and 112, you would not want the software to export a companion constraint to each subcase. Instead, you can define the companion constraints globally (for all subcases), for example, by using the User Defined Constraint command.Note: For the following solution types, the companion constraints are not required and the software does not export them, regardless of the setting of the Export Companion Constraints (SPC1) option. SOL 402SOL 414,101 SOL 414,110SOL 414,111 (For static subcases only. The dynamics subcase of SOL 414,111 does require a companion constraint.)SOL 414,129SOL 601SOL 701
