Updating design variables

Use the Update Design Variables command to update the initial values and bounds of the design variable modeling objects in the Simulation file with the current design variable values and bounds of the active Model Update or Model Update Set solution process. This command prepares the work solution to be resolved without modifying the underlying FEM.

Application	Pre/Post
Prerequisite	An active Model Update or Model Update Set solution process
Simulation Navigator	Right-click the Model Update or Model Update Set node → Update Design Variables
Command Finder	Update Design Variables
Menu	Tools → Model Update → Update Design Variables
