Manual Thermal Coupling dialog box (Abaqus)
| Destination Folder | |
|---|---|
| Constraint Container | Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which to store the boundary condition. The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command. Examples of a root container include Load Container, Constraint Container, and Simulation Object Container. |
| Folder Manager | Displays a hierarchical list of existing folders. To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder. |
| Dependent Coupling Parameters | |
| Select Object | Lets you select the dependent node in the multi-point constraint equation (*EQUATION). |
| Stacked Smart Selector Methods | Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box. |
| Component Number | Displays the temperature degree of freedom to be constrained for the dependent node. |
| Coefficient | Lets you set the coefficient value for the dependent node. The coefficient is a term by which the nodal degree of freedom is multiplied. |
| Independent Coupling Parameters | |
| Group Reference | Lets you apply the constraint to a group. For more information, see Group Reference options. |
| Select Object | Lets you select the independent nodes in a multi-point constraint (*EQUATION).Excluded lets you remove individual entities from within your selected object. |
| Stacked Smart Selector Methods | Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box. |
| Unique DOF Values | When the Unique DOF Values check box is selected, lets you enter the coefficient value of the temperature degree of freedom to constrain for each independent node. |
| Edit Per Node | Appears when the Unique DOF Values check box is selected.Click Nodes to open the Edit By Node dialog box and enter the coefficient value for the temperature degree of freedom for each independent node. |
| Component Number | Displays the temperature degree of freedom to be constrained for the independent nodes. |
| Coefficient | Sets the coefficient value for the independent nodes. The coefficient is a term by which the nodal degree of freedom is multiplied. |
