Supported elements for durability analysis

The durability solver does not support mixed order pyramid and tetrahedral elements for all structural solvers.

Supported Nastran elements

  • 1D elements: CBEAM, CBAR, CROD, and CONROD

  • 2D elements: CTRIA3, CTRIA6, CQUAD4, CQUAD8, CQUADR, and CTRIAR

  • 3D elements: CTETRA(4), CTETRA(10), CHEXA(8), CHEXA(20), and CPYRAM

Supported Abaqus elements

  • 1D elements: B21, B21H, B31, and B31H

  • All 2D elements

  • 3D elements: C3D4, C3D4H, C3D10, C3D10H, C3D10M, C3D10MH, C3D8, C3D8H, C3D8R, C3D8RH, C3D8I, C3D8IH, and C3D20RH

Supported ANSYS elements

  • 1D elements: BEAM44, BEAM4, and BEAM188

  • 2D elements: SHELL63(3), SHELL63 (4), SHELL93 (6), SHELL93 (8), SHELL181 (3), SHELL181 (4), SHELL281 (6), and SHELL281 (8)

  • 3D elements: SOLID45 (4), SOLID45 (8), SOLID70 (5), SOLID92 (10), SOLID95 (13), SOLID95 (20), SOLID185 (4), SOLID185 (8), SOLID186 (20), and SOLID187
