Create durability seam weld and spot weld sets

Use this procedure when your FEM file contains spot weld universal connections and seam weld universal connections that are suitable for Specialist Durability solutions.

Creating a seam or spot weld set automatically creates the individual durability seam and spot welds at the same time.

1. Make the Simulation file the work part and the displayed part, and choose Specialist Durability tab→Welds group→Seam Weld Set or Spot Weld Set .

2. In the Seam Weld Set or Spot Weld Set dialog box, select the welds that you want to add to the set and click OK.To add an individual connection, double-click it and click Add to List .To add all connections that are in a folder, click the folder, click Select Folder , and click Add to List .Note: You can add spot weld universal connections whose status is Up-to-date. If the status of a spot weld connection is Not realized, use the Connection Elements command to mesh it. You can add seam weld universal connections that were created by importing from an xMCF file or by using the auto-detect command, and whose status is Up-to-date. If the status of a connection is Invalid, right-click the connection and choose Edit so you can fix the problem.

3. For durability seam welds, assign the recovery simulation object by right-clicking a seam weld set or individual seam weld and choosing Edit.
