Initial Damage (Simcenter Samcef)
You can use the Initial Damage simulation object to define an initial damage. In non-linear analyses, the damage is a variable state of the material law. In linear analyses, the damage modifies the stiffness of the linear damage material.
Depending on the material's damage law, you define a Scalar, a Vector, or a Tensor initial damage.
Note:
The elements on which you define an initial damage must support a material with a defined damage law.
