New Translational DDAM Excitation dialog box
| Name | |
|---|---|
| Name | A descriptive name for the excitation. |
| Description | A longer description for the excitation. |
| Excitation Location | |
| ID | Lets you select the node ID and direction of the node you selected as the location of the excitation. |
| Excitation Location List | Opens the Select Excitation Location dialog box, where you can select a single DOF (node ID plus direction) from your previously defined excitation location. See Specify excitation locations for information about creating excitation locations. |
| Excitation | |
| Loading Type | The direction of the shock you are analyzing (Vertical, Athwart Ship, or Fore and Aft). This determines the coefficients the software uses from your coefficients file. |
| Components | The directions in which to apply the excitation. You can select the directions that were set to Enforced in the enforced motion location on which you are defining this excitation. This direction should correspond to the Loading Type direction. |
