Surface Flux dialog box (Simcenter Samcef Thermal)

Type
Type Specifies where you want to apply the heat flux.Heat Flux on Elements, Element Faces or Element Edges—Applies a flux on elements, 3D element faces or elements edges.Heat Flux on 2D Element Faces—Applies a flux on the top or bottom face of 2D thermal membranes.
Name
Name Sets the name of the load.
Description Sets the description of the load.
Destination Folder
Load Container Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which the boundary condition will be stored. The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command.To view a hierarchical list of existing folders, click Folder Manager . To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder.
Model Objects
Group Reference Lets you apply the flux to a group.For more information, see Group Reference options.
Select Object Lets you select the geometry on which the boundary condition will be applied.
Stacked Smart Selector Methods Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters.For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box.
Excluded Lets you remove individual entities from within the selected object.
Properties
Heat Flux Sets the flux.For more information, see the FLUX parameter of the Samcef .CLT command.
Position (FACE) Appears when Type is set to Heat Flux on 2D Element Faces.Select Top of the Support to define the flux on the top faces of the support. Select Bottom of the Support for the bottom faces of the support.
