Specific Duct Mode dialog box
| Name | |
|---|---|
| Name | Sets the name of the duct mode. |
| Description | Sets a description for the duct mode. |
| Destination Folder | |
| Load Container | Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which to store the duct mode load. The list includes the root container and any folders that you optionally created in the Load Container. |
| Folder Manager | You can optionally create a hierarchy of folders to store and organize your loads in the Load Container. To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder. |
| Location | |
| Duct Region | You will create and select a Duct inlet region. A Duct inlet region selects the fluid element faces on a duct inlet to apply the duct modes. It also defines the cross sectional properties for the duct inlet.Select Create Region to create a new Duct inlet region. For more information on creating the region, see Region dialog box. |
| Duct Mode Amplitude | |
| You will define the duct mode order relative to the two duct cross section directions. In addition, you will define the amplitude as a complex data pair. | |
| Azimuthal / X Order | If your cross section is circular or annular, you specify the order relative to the azimuthal-direction.If your cross section is rectangular, you specify the order relative to the X-direction. |
| Radial / Y Order | If your cross section is circular or annular, you specify the order relative to the radial-direction.If your cross section is rectangular, you specify the order relative to the Y-direction. |
| Measure Type | Select the units of the duct mode amplitude as Acoustic intensity, Acoustic power, or Pressure. |
| Format | Specify the format of the duct mode amplitude complex data pair. You designate the form of this data pair as Real/Imaginary, Magnitude/Phase, or Field. |
| Real | Specifies the real value of the amplitude complex data pair when Format is Real / Imaginary. |
| Imaginary | Specifies the imaginary value of the amplitude complex data pair when Format is Real / Imaginary. |
| Magnitude | Specifies the magnitude value of the amplitude complex data pair when Format is Magnitude/Phase.For more information, see Additional magnitude options. |
| Phase | Specifies the phase angle value of the amplitude complex data pair when Format is Magnitude/Phase. |
| Specify Field | Specifies the frequency dependent complex field values when Format is set to Field. The Scale Factor scales the values defined in the field. |
| Ancillary Display Options | |
| Controls the display of the duct mode. For more information, see Ancillary Display dialog box (Simcenter Samcef) |
Distributed Duct Mode dialog box
| Name | |
|---|---|
| Name | Sets the name of the duct mode. |

Anechoic End dialog box
| Name | |
|---|---|
| Name | Sets the name of the anechoic end duct. |
| Description | Sets a description for the anechoic end duct. |
| Destination Folder | |
| Simulation Object Container | Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which to store the Anechoic End boundary condition. The list includes the root container and any folders that you optionally created in the Simulation Object Container. |
| Folder Manager | You can optionally create a hierarchy of folders to store and organize your Simulation Objects in the Simulation Object Container. To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder. |
