Getting started

Set the default environment

When you set the default environment, you choose the default solver, analysis type, and solution type that are automatically generated each time you create a solution. You can customize additional settings in Customer Defaults or environment variable settings in the ..\ugii\ugii_env.dat file.

Where do I find it?

  • You can access other default settings in the Customer Defaults dialog: FileUtilitiesCustomer DefaultsSimulation.

  • The ugii_env.dat file contains environment variable settings. You can view current .dat file settings from any session's syslog. You can also perform a session-by-session override on the .dat file environment variables by setting them manually before launching the software.
