Radiation dialog box (Simcenter Samcef Thermal)

| Type | Appears in a thermal analysis.Specifies where you want to apply the radiation.Radiation on Elements, Element Faces or Element Edges—Applies a radiation on elements, 3D element faces or elements edges.Radiation on 2D Element Faces—Applies a radiation on the top or bottom face of 2D thermal membranes.Note: In an Axisymmetric Thermal analysis, you always define radiation on element edges |

| Name | Sets the name of the load. |
| Description | Sets the description of the load. |
| Destination Folder | |
| Load Container | Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which the boundary condition is stored. The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command. To view a hierarchical list of existing folders, click Folder Manager . To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder. |
| Model Objects | |
| Group Reference | Lets you apply the radiation to a group.For more information, see Group Reference options. |
| Select Object | Lets you select the geometry on which the boundary condition is applied. |
| Stacked Smart Selector Methods | Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters.For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box. |
| Excluded | Lets you remove individual entities from within the selected object. |
| Properties | |
| Ambient Temperature (TFR) | Sets the ambient temperature.For more information, see the TFR parameter of the Samcef .CLT command. |
| Surface Emissivity (EMI) | Sets the surface emissivity.For more information, see the EMI parameter of the Samcef .CLT command. |
| Position (FACE) | Appears when Type is set to Radiation on 2D Element Faces.Select Top of the Support to define the radiation on the top faces of the support. Select Bottom of the Support for the bottom faces of the support. |
| Card Name | Displays the name of the solver card this object writes to: .CLT EMI TFR. |
