Exciter Selection Configuration dialog box
| Method | |
|---|---|
| Method | Specifies the exciter selection method.NMIFIdentifies the sensors which excite the most modes using a normal mode indicator functions (NMIFs) and an NMIF threshold value.DPRProvides a sorted matrix of DOFs and their driving point residue (DPR) values from which a user-defined number of optimal exciters are identified. |
| Settings | |
| Available when Method is set to NMIF. | |
| Damping Ratio (%) | Specifies the damping percentage ratio that is associated with the normal modes and that is used by the exciter selection algorithm. The damping ratio should be bigger than 0.1%. |
| NMIF Threshold | Specifies the threshold for the normal mode indicator function (NMIF) that is used by the exciter selection algorithm to find the optimum number of exciters and the optimum location for these exciters. The NMIF threshold value must be between 0.0 and 1.0. Lower value gives more exciter locations and might result in some modes not to be excited. Higher value may result in exciter locations that only excite modes weakly. |
| Off-Axis Angles | Specifies the allowed orientation for the exciters. |
| Name | |
| Name | Controls the name of the exciter configuration. |
