External Conditions

Use an External Conditions type modeling object to define the temperature and humidity of the fluid entering the fluid domain. Once created, you can select an External Conditions modeling object when defining an Inlet, Opening, or Static Pressure type Flow Boundary Condition simulation object. In this way, you can specify that these conditions exist at a given location or at many locations in the model.

Note:

If you want to specify the same external conditions for all fluid entering the fluid domain, set the options on the Ambient Conditions page of the Solution dialog box instead of creating the External Conditions modeling object.

The default settings for temperature and humidity in the External Conditions dialog box are Ambient. Since this settings are identical to the default setting of the flow solver, there is no need to create an External Conditions modeling object option set to default.
