Color displays in post views
You can set the color display of a post view to one of the following:
Contour Plot
A continuous range of colors that indicate the value of the plotted results on the model. When you select Contour Plot, you can select to plot the display as contours, markers, or streamlines.
Material-based
Colors based on the material property tables (MID) that make up the model.
Property-based
Colors based on the physical property tables (PID).
Mesh-based
Colors based on the mesh collector display settings set in pre-processing. For more information about mesh settings in pre-processing, see Displaying meshes and element thickness.
You select the color display when you create a post view or after you load the results into a post view. When you select MID-based, PID-based, and mesh-based color displays, the software retains the model's deformation but removes the color contours. In addition, the display options available depend on the color display you select.
