| Option for GENERAL | Controls how the software generates the segments. For example, select (Box) Generate segments inside boxes to generate segments inside boxes that have ID values of E1, E2, and E3 with attributes that have values of E4, E5, E6, and E7.(ALL) Include all exterior segments: Includes all beam elements in the segment.(BOX) Generate segments inside boxes: Generates segments inside boxes that have ID values of E1, E2, and E3, and attributes that have values of E4, E5, and E6.For shell elements, the software generates one segment per shell element. For solid elements, the software generates only those segments that wrap the solid part and point outward from the part.Use the Option for BOX list to control how the software creates the segments within the specified box.(PART) Generate segments of parts: Generates segments of parts that have ID values of E1, E2, and E3, and attributes that have values of E4, E5, and E6.For shell elements, the software generates one segment per shell element. For solid elements, the software generates only those segments that wrap the solid part and point outward from the part.Use the Option for PART list to control whether the software generates inter-element segments inside the part.(SEG) With nodes: Creates a segment with nodes that have ID values of E1, E2, E3, and E4. (VOL) Inside contact volume: Creates a segment inside a contact volume that has ID values of E1, E2, and E3, and attributes that have values of E4, E5, and E6.Use the Option for VOL list to control whether the software generates segments for shell or solid elements inside the volume.(SET) Using SET: Generates segments for different types of sets.Use the Option for SET list to control whether the software generates segments for shell, thick shell, or solid elements in the set.(D) Delete or exclude: Deletes or excludes entities from segments based on the option you select from the Option for delete or exclude list.(SALECPT) Inside a box in Structured AEL mesh: Selects all nodes, segments, or solid elements in a box inside a structured ALE mesh.(SALEFAC) On the face of a Structured AEL mesh: Selects all nodes, segments, or solid elements in a structured ALE mesh. |
