Simcenter Samcef solver-specific modeling objects

Modeling objects let you specify various settings that determine how the solver processes your model. You can always create a modeling object using the Modeling Object command. You can also create modeling objects when you create the solution.

Modeling objects are saved with the FEM or Simulation file in which you create them.

In the Simcenter Samcef environment, you create Modeling Object to:

• Define Output Requests. For more information, see Requesting additional results for analyses (Simcenter Samcef).

• Request specific results on specific elements, like the Bush element, the Spring Damper element, or the Post-processing Macro element.For more information, see Modeling objects for specific results (Simcenter Samcef).

• Define contact parameters. For more information, see Contact Parameters dialog box (Simcenter Samcef) and Beam Beam Contact Parameters dialog box (Simcenter Samcef).

• Define glue parameters. For more information, see Gluing parameters (STICK) dialog box (Simcenter Samcef) and Gluing Parameters (APS) dialog box (Simcenter Samcef).

• Request specific contact and glue results. For more information, see Contact and glue specific results (Simcenter Samcef).

• Define User Defined Text. For more information, see User Defined Text dialog box (Simcenter Samcef).

• Define fluid pressure penetration parameters. For more information, see Fluid pressure penetration (Simcenter Samcef).
