Global remarks and limitations when enabling or disabling entities (Simcenter Samcef)
Enabling a contact/glue simulation that connects dead elements
When a contact/glue simulation object (1) connects two elements (2 and 3), you cannot disable it at a given subcase when, during the time interval of that subcase, one element is disabled or dead.
Combining Element Birth/Death simulation objects and Element Enable from Subcase / Element Disable from Subcase simulation objects
The following is the only use case that can combine Element Birth/Death simulation objects and Element Enable from Subcase / Element Disable from Subcase simulation objects for an element:
You specify a Element Birth Time value for that element, but not an Element Death Time value.
This element appears only in a Element Disable from Subcase simulation object that is added to a subcase with a starting time that is greater than the Element Birth Time value.
Note:
This special combination of the two concepts is reserved to advanced users.
