Heat Flux dialog box (Abaqus)

Type
Type Specifies how the heat flux load is defined.DFLUXApplies distributed fluxes in a thermal or fully coupled thermal-stress analysis. For more information, see *DFLUX in the Abaqus Keywords Reference Guide.DSFLUXApplies distributed fluxes in a thermal or fully coupled thermal-stress analysis to a region. For more information, see *DSFLUX in the Abaqus Keywords Reference Guide.CFLUXApplies a concentrated heat flux to any node or set of nodes in a thermal or fully-coupled thermal-stress analysis. For more information, see *CFLUX in the Abaqus Keywords Reference Guide.
Destination Folder
Load Container Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which to store the boundary condition. The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command. Examples of a root container include Load Container, Constraint Container, and Simulation Object Container.
Folder Manager Displays a hierarchical list of existing folders. To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder.
Model Objects
Group Reference Lets you apply the heat flux load to a group. For more information, see Group Reference options.
Select Object Lets you select the geometry or FE entities to apply the load to. Use the Excluded options to remove individual entities, such as nodes or elements, from within your selection.
Stacked Smart Selector Methods Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box.
Surface
Surface Lets you select the Region that defines the surface to which to apply the heat flux. You must use an element-based surface definition to define the region.Select an existing region or click New Region to create a new region. See the Region dialog box.
Magnitude
Heat Flux Specifies the magnitude of the heat flux load. For more information, see Additional magnitude options.
Card Name Displays the name of the corresponding Abaqus keyword.
