Mesh Associated Data dialog box (Simcenter Samcef rigid element)
| Mesh | |
|---|---|
| Select Mesh | Select the connection mesh for which you want to modify the mesh associated data. |
| Element Orientation | |
| Enable CSYS Override | Lets you define your own CSYS to orient the element.Clear this check box to orient the element with a vector. |
| Specify Vector | Appears when you clear the Enable CSYS Override check box.Lets you use the standard vector tools to define the element orientation by specifying a vector. |
| CSYS Type | Appears when you select the Enable CSYS Override check box.Specifies the coordinate system used to orient the element. You can create or select a local coordinate system. |
| Stiffness | |
| **Kinematic Stiffness in Translation (KTRA)**Kinematic Stiffness in Rotation (KROT) | Sets the kinematic stiffnesses in translation and rotation. These properties introduce some flexibility in the rigid body. For more information, see the KTRA, KROT parameters of the Samcef RIGA element page. |
| Controls | |
| Constraints Control (OPRO) | You can selectively enable degrees of freedom.Translations and RotationsEnable all degrees of freedom.Translations OnlyEnable the translation degrees of freedom and let rotations be free.Rotations OnlyEnable the rotations degrees of freedom and let translation free. For more information, see the OPRO parameter of the Samcef RIGA element page. |
| Compute Positions at Activation Time (FROZ) | Select Compute Positions at Activation Time (FROZ) check box if you want the node positions of the rigid body to be computed when the element is activated.Clear the check box if you want the node positions to be the same as the ones at the beginning of the solve. For more information, see the FROZ parameters of the Samcef RIGA element page. For more information on enabling/disabling elements, see Enabling or disabling elements in subcases (Simcenter Samcef). |
| Element Attributes | |
| Samcef Mesh Attribute (.MAI ATT) | By default in the Samcef input file, an .MCE attribute is defined for each mesh. You can override this default with this parameter. |
| Results | |
| Results | Lets you select specific rigid element results to be computed by the Samcef solver. |
