Simplified representation (dummy elements) (Simcenter Samcef)
When you create a superelement, you can define a Simplified Representation that is used in preprocessing and post-processing to display the superelement.
From the Create Simplified Representation (for Pre and Post-Processing) list in the Output page of the creation solution, select one of the following options:
None
No simplified representation is created.
All
All the 2D and 3D elements of the model are used to create the simplified representation. For 3D elements, the skin of these elements is computed with the Samcef .PEAU command.Note: Depending on the model, this option can lead to a large representation and can affect display performance.
Selection
You select the 2D and/or 3D elements that will be used to create the simplified representation. For 3D elements, the skin of these elements is computed with the Samcef .PEAU command.
Note:
This Simplified Representation is the graphical representation that can be used when you add the superelement in an assembly FEM (see Simcenter Samcef superelement graphical representation in an assembly FEM) or when post-processing the results (see Managing superelement representations (Simcenter Samcef)).
