Boundary conditions > Thermal loads and constraints > Nastran, Abaqus, and ANSYS thermal loads and constraints > Convection constraint
Define convection constraints
Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Convection .
In the Convection dialog box, in the Model Objects group, click Select Object and select the geometry or FE entity to which the convection constraint will be applied.
(Optional) In the Control Point group, click Select Object and select the geometry or FE entity to define the control point for the constraint.
In the Properties group, define the magnitude for the properties in one of these ways:Select Expression to use a constant value or expression to define the magnitude. For more information, see Expressions. Select Field to define a convection constraint magnitude that varies spatially. From the Specify Field list, choose a method to create the field. For more information, see Using fields and expressions to define boundary conditions.
Click OK.The constraint is applied to the model.
