| Pressure and Temperature | |
|---|---|
| Altitude | Sets the altitude constant or time-varying value. |
| Absolute Pressure | Specifies how the ambient pressure of the fluid is defined.SpecifySets the ambient pressure to an absolute pressure value. You set a constant, time-varying, or altitude-varying value for the ambient pressure in the Absolute Pressure Value box. When the pressure is altitude-varying and the altitude is time-varying, the software converts the pressure function to vary with time instead of altitude. From Altitude - Standard ConditionsAdjusts the ambient sea level pressure for the specified altitude using the ideal gas law. |
| Fluid Temperature | Sets a constant fluid temperature or a fluid temperature that varies with time or altitude. When the fluid temperature is altitude-varying and the altitude is time-varying, the software converts the temperature function to vary with time instead of altitude. |
| Radiative Environment Temperature | Sets a constant radiative environment temperature or a radiative environment temperature that varies with time or altitude. When the radiative environment temperature is altitude-varying and the altitude is time-varying, the software converts the temperature function to vary with time instead of altitude. |
| Pressure and Temperature | |
| Humidity | Specifies the ambient fluid conditions for humidity.None Indicates that the humidity in the fluid domain is not set.RelativeCalculates the fluid humidity using the relative fluid humidity value that you specify in the Relative Humidity (%) box. This value can be constant or time-varying.SpecificCalculates the fluid humidity from the water vapor to dry air mass ratio that you specify in the Water Vapor to Dry Air Mass Ratio box. This value can be constant or time-varying. |
| Tracer Fluid | Specifies the mass fractions for the tracer fluids for the ambient fluid domain.NoneIndicates that the mass fractions for the tracer fluids for the fluid domain are not set.Specify FractionsSets the mass fractions for the tracer fluids listed in the Tracer Fluid List. Use Create Tracer Fluid List to add Tracer Fluid modeling objects to your analysis. For each selected Tracer Fluid modeling object, you set the mass fractions in the Tracer Fluid Mass Fractions box.As a good practice, enter values from 0 to 1 for each mass fraction. The percentage of the main fluid is calculated as 1–∑Mass Fractions. You can use Cut , Copy , and Paste commands to enter the mass fraction values. |
| Mixture | Specifies the mass fractions for the components of a mixture for the ambient fluid domain.NoneIndicates that there is no mixture entering the fluid domain.Homogeneous Gas MixtureSets the mass fractions for the homogenous mixture components. You set them in the Mixture Mass Fractions box.As a good practice, enter values from 0 to 1 for each mass fraction. If the sum of the mass fractions you enter is greater than 1, the values are normalized. You can use Cut , Copy , and Paste commands to enter the mass fraction values.Immiscible Fluid MixtureSets the area fraction of the tracked fluid in the immiscible mixture entering the fluid enclosure. The area fraction value must be between 0 and 1, and it can vary with time in a transient analysis. If it is not defined, the flow solver assigns a value of 1. You define the value in the Tracked Fluid Area Fraction box. |
