Rotate nodes

Rotate nodes

1. Click Node Rotate .

2. From the Type menu, choose Rotate.

3. Use Select Node along with the options on the Selection Method menu to select the nodes to rotate.

4. Choose either Specify Vector or a command from the vector type menu to define the vector along which to rotate the nodes.

5. Choose either Specify Point or a command from the point type menu to define the point about which to rotate the nodes.

6. Specify the Angle to rotate the nodes.

7. Click OK or Apply.

Copying and rotating nodes

1. Click Node Rotate .

2. From the Type menu, choose Copy and Rotate.

3. Use Select Node along with the options on the Selection Method menu to select the nodes to rotate.

4. In the Specify Number box, type the number of copies to create.

5. Choose either Specify Vector or a command from the vector type menu to define the vector along which to rotate the nodes.

6. Choose either Specify Point or a command from the point type menu to define the point about which to rotate the nodes.

7. Choose whether you want to specify the angle between individual nodes (Per Copy) or whether you want to specify the total angle (Total) to rotate all the nodes.

8. Specify the Angle to rotate the nodes.

9. (Optional) Use the Specify Label options to control how the software defines the labels for the new nodes.

10. (Optional) Use the Displacement CSYS options to select or create the coordinate system to use as the displacement coordinate system for the new nodes. See Working with nodal coordinate systems for more information.

11. Click OK or Apply.
