Create a verification solution
In the Simulation Navigator, expand the solution node→Results.
Double-click the Structural node.
In the Post Processing Navigator, right-click the Structural node and choose Material Density Results.
To work with a design cycle other than the last one, from the Result list, select the desired design cycle.
In the Solid Area subgroup, move the Lower Bound slider far enough to the left to ensure that there are no free elements (that is, elements that are not connected to any other element edge or node).Alternatively, you can type the appropriate value in the box and then press Tab. The range is from 0.0 to 1.0.
If your solution includes a lattice structure, in the Lattice Area subgroup, move the Lower Bound slider to the left or right to change the minimum material density value for the lattice structures.Alternatively, you can type the appropriate value in the box and then press Tab.The lower boundary for the lattice area cannot be greater than the lower boundary for the solid area. For example, if the lower boundary for the solid areas is 0.7, the lower boundary for the lattice area must be between 0.0 and 0.7.As you adjust the lower boundary for the lattice area, the lower boundary for the solid area does not change. However, the slider in the Solid Area subgroup adjusts to show that the range is between the lower boundary of the lattice area and 1.0. For example, if the lower boundary for the solid area is 0.7, and the lower boundary for the lattice area is 0.4, then the range for the slider in the Solid Area subgroup is between 0.4 and 1.00. To change that range, you must change the value for the lower boundary for the lattice area.
Clear the Smooth (Nodal Average) check box.
In the Verification Solution group, click Create.
Close the Information window and the Material Density Display/Export dialog box.
In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the verification solution node (Copy of [solution_name]) and choose Make Active.
Right-click the verification solution node and choose Edit.
In the SOL 200 Topology Optimization group, click the Bulk Data tab.
In the Maximum Number of Design Cycles (DESMAX) box, type 0.
Click OK in the Solution dialog box.
Right-click the verification solution node and choose Solve.
Clear the Model Setup Check check box.
Click OK.
Wait until the solution is complete, and then do the following:Click No in the Review Results dialog box.Close the Information window.Click Cancel in the Analysis Job Monitor dialog box.
