Move a note
Make sure that the appropriate file is the work part before you try to move any notes. For example, if you created a note when the FEM file was the work part, you cannot move that note when the Simulation file is the work part.
Move a note using the graphics window
Drag the note to the desired position in the graphics window.
If the note is associated with any other notes, an asterisk appears in next to the associated notes, and the associated notes move as well. The relative position of the notes depends on whether the alignment is vertical or horizontal. For example, if the alignment is vertical and you move the original note to the right or left, the associated notes move to the right or left as well. However, if you move the original note up or down, the associated notes do not move because they are still vertically aligned with the original note.
If you move the associated note rather than the original note, the association and alignment are broken.
Note:
If the note is positioned at a snap point, you cannot move the note until you change its settings. To move the note, right-click it and choose Edit. Then clear the Position at Snap Point check box and click Specify Location . You can now drag the note to the desired location in the graphics window.
To use the alignment options when you move an existing note, you must right-click the note and choose Edit. The alignment options apply only when the Note dialog box is displayed.
Make a note parallel to the screen
Right-click the note and choose Parallel to Screen.
If the note is already parallel to the screen, a check mark appears next to this command in the shortcut menu. If you choose this command when the check mark appears, the note instead uses the last used orientation.
Note:
If the note includes more than one leader line, Parallel to Screen does not appear in the shortcut menu. To remove the extra leaders and make the note parallel to the screen:
Right-click the note and choose Edit.
In the Leader group, in the list table, select the numbered leader and then click Remove .Repeat this step until the note contains no more than one leader.
In the Settings group, click Settings .
Click Display.
Select the Display Parallel to Screen check box.
Click Close in both dialog boxes.
Change the note orientation
In the graphics window, right-click the note that you want to reorient, and then choose Edit.
Note: If a check mark appears next to **Parallel to Screen** in the shortcut menu, choose that command to turn off that feature. Then right-click the note again and choose **Edit**. If the note's size and position were previously locked, they are no longer locked when the note is not parallel to the screen. In the Origin group, in the Orientation subgroup, from the Plane list, select the desired option:
**XC-YC Plane**—Parallel to the XC-YC plane of the work coordinate system. **XC-ZC Plane**—Parallel to the XC-ZC plane of the work coordinate system. **YC-ZC Plane**—Parallel to the YC-ZC plane of the work coordinate system. **Model View**—Parallel to the default view of the part. **Last User Defined**—Parallel to the last plane that was manually defined for this model. **User Defined**—Parallel to a plane that you define. Note: If you change the orientation of the note, you might not be able to see the note until you reorient the model. If you select User Defined from the Plane list, specify the orientation of the coordinate system. You can click CSYS Dialog or select the coordinate system creation method from the list and then take the appropriate action in the graphics window.
Click Close.
Move a note to a snap point
In the graphics window, right-click the note that you want to move, and then choose Edit.
If the note's size and position are locked, from the Auto Alignment list, select Non-associative.
In the Origin group, in the Alignment subgroup, select the Position at Snap Point check box.
From the Anchor list, select the desired anchor location for the note. For example, when Anchor is set to Middle Center, the vertical and horizontal center of the note will coincide with the snap point.
In the Top Border bar, if the snap point that you want to use is not already enabled, enable that snap point.
Click Specify Location .
Drag the note to the desired snap point. When the snap point is highlighted, release the mouse button. You can also select the snap point from the QuickPick dialog box.The anchor location of the note aligns with the selected snap point.
Click Close.
