Matrix Comparison Plots scenario (Simcenter 3D NVH)
The Matrix Comparison Plots post-processing scenario displays data in band averaged comparison plots. You will typically use this scenario to compare:
The results of an analysis to a defined ideal target response, by viewing the differences between the results from two sets of data.
The effect of modifications to a previous version of the product, by viewing the differences between two different sets of runs or two sets of measured data.
For example, in the FRF matrix comparison plot below, you can see that the third octave band frequencies of 16 Hz and 80 Hz display the greatest difference from the target results.
The Matrix Comparison Plots scenario plots the results in the following types of matrix plots:
Conductance plotThe conductance matrix comparison plot displays the difference in conductance between two sets of results. The conductance is computed as \sqrt {REAL(velocity/force)} .In the Scenario Based Data-Visualization Navigator, set the following:In the Response node, select the data set from your analysis. In the Target node, select the data set from your ideal target response. In the Parameters node, set the octave band type to display. In the Selection node, select the nodes and axis directions.
Point FRF plotThe point FRF matrix comparison plot displays the difference (in dB) between two sets of FRF results. Point FRF requires the excitation and response locations to be the same. In the Scenario Based Data-Visualization Navigator, set the following:In the Response node, select the data set and data type from your analysis. In the Target node, select the data set and data type from your ideal target response. You must choose the same data type for the response and target. In the Parameters node, set the octave band type to display. In the Selection node, select the nodes and axis directions.

Response, Response - Order Cut, and Response - WaterfallThe matrix comparison plots display the difference in displacement, velocity, acceleration, or pressure as a function of frequency between two sets of results. In the Scenario Based Data-Visualization Navigator, set the following:In the Response node, select the data set and data type from your analysis. In the Target node, select the data set and data type from your ideal target response. Parameters
The following table shows the parameter available for defining the Matrix Comparison Plots post-processing scenario. It appears in the Parameters node of the Scenario Based Data-Visualization Navigator.
