Card 2 tab options

Static coefficient of friction (FS) Specifies the static coefficient of friction.
Dynamic coefficient of friction (FD) Specifies the dynamic coefficient of friction.
Exponential decay coefficient Specifies the exponential decay coefficient. The frictional coefficient is assumed to be dependent on the relative velocity of the surfaces in contact.
Coefficient for viscous friction Specifies the coefficient for viscous friction. This value is necessary to limit the friction force to a maximum.
Viscous damping coefficient in percent of critical (VDC) Specifies the viscous damping in the percent of critical damping.
Small penetration in contact search option (PENCHK) Specifies the small penetration value used in the contact search option. If the slave node penetrates more than the segment thickness times the fact or XPENE, then LS-DYNA ignores the penetration, and the slave node is set free.
Birth Time (BT) Specifies the time at which the contact surface becomes active.
Death Time (DT) Specifies the time at which the contact surface is deactivated.

Card 3 tab options

Scale factor on default slave penalty stiffness (SFS) Specifies the scale factor on the default slave penalty stiffness. For more information, see *CONTROL_CONTACT in the LS-DYNA Keyword User’s Manual.
Scale factor on default master penalty stiffness (SFM) Specifies the scale factor on the default master penalty stiffness. For more information, see *CONTROL_CONTACT in the LS-DYNA Keyword User’s Manual.
Optional thickness for slave surface (SST) When you are modeling contact with 2D elements, lets you specify an optional thickness value for the slave surface. This value overrides the thickness of the 2D elements.
Optional thickness for master surface (MST) When you are modeling contact with 2D elements, lets you specify an optional thickness value for the master surface. This value overrides the thickness of the 2D elements.
Scale factor for slave surface thickness (SFST) Specifies the factor used to scale the thickness of the 2D elements on the slave surface.
Scale factor for master surface thickness (SFMT) Specifies the factor used to scale the thickness of the 2D elements on the master surface.
Coulomb friction scale factor (FSF) Specifies the Coulomb friction scale factor.
Viscous friction scale factor (VSF) Specifies the viscous friction scale factor.
